Grand Prix Race 2, Dudley Park Run

Race 2 of 6 took us to the Dudley Park Run, this is the most varied park run I have ever done, you start off with two and a half laps of track at the Dell stadium then a short run through the park before a turning onto the canal, just as you’re getting into your stride you exit the toe path and your running down hill through muddy wood land! A big loop back onto the canal, park then finishing with a lap and a half of the track for good measure. Fantastic!

We had another good turn out of maroon vests running with Chris D also volunteering at about the half way point through the woods. A few PB’s were made and Ryan and Oli would have secured 1st and 2nd if it wasn’t for Luke Vine from Tipton Harriers getting his own PB and the course record in 15:18! Wow. There was some confusion with the results as I was listed in 3rd position, (I wish)! A quick email and I was back in 14th (Oh well). Our next race is at Edgbaston Reservoir on June 10th that most of you will know from our recent take over. If you are car sharing watch Mance, his idea may be different from the convesional, so make sure he keeps to the main roads and I’ll keep Cannock off the list!
